Affinch\u00e9 il sorriso sia davvero smagliante, \u00e8 importante che sia sano anche il tessuto molle, ovvero le gengive.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

La gengivectomia<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00e8 un intervento chirurgico di asportazione della gengiva malata a seguito della parodontite. Le tasche gengivali, infatti, impediscono di applicare un\u2019igiene orale completa in quanto favoriscono l\u2019accumulo interno di batteri e cibo.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

La pulizia delle tasche gengivali, pertanto, \u00e8 di enorme importanza in quanto permette di eliminare un potenziale punto di raccolta di patogeni come i batteri.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

La gengivoplastica<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 il delineamento con metodi chirurgici della linea gengivale che circonda i denti. Spesso questo intervento viene eseguito per motivi estetici, in modo che la gengiva abbia un aspetto pi\u00f9 gradevole e naturale e i denti sembrino pi\u00f9 grandi. \u00c8 la tecnica ideale per correggere asimmetrie e malformazioni di natura genetica. I contorni della gengiva, infatti, vengono corretti creando una bordura perfetta tra la corona e il tessuto molle.<\/p>\n

Il cosiddetto gummy smile rappresenta un sorriso in cui il rapporto tra gengiva visibile e denti, e quindi il rapporto tra colore bianco e rosa, \u00e8 particolarmente alterato.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

La linea del sorriso \u00e8 troppo alta e, quando si parla o si ride, le gengive appaiono troppo evidenti, a discapito dei denti che, invece, sembrano rimpiccioliti perch\u00e9 coperti parzialmente dal tessuto molle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Le cause pi\u00f9 frequenti del gummy smile sono labbro superiore corto, mobilit\u00e0 eccessiva del labbro superiore, sviluppo alterato della mandibola superiore e abrasione, ossia usura considerevole della dentatura.<\/p>\n
